Two upholstered carved wooden parlor chairs from the Civil War era. I'm guessing they are Walnut. The one on the left with arms is for a man. This is one of my favourite antiques in my collection. It is a Victorian Water Tankard. It sits on a stand and swings in its cradle so that the lady of the house can pour the liquid into the goblet resting on the cup stand. These are difficult to find with the matching goblet. In fact I found this in pieces in an antique store in Massachusetts. It was in the back room, buried in a pile of junk.

 Victorian Coffee Pot. I wish I knew the correct name for this fantastic antique but I don't. It swings, you pour the coffee into the matching goblet on the stand. I found this in pieces (literally) in a Massachusetts Antique Store, but I could see that nothing was missing. They are nicely displayed in a large old red brick church, so you can wander from room to room and never feel overwhelmed.I bought a nice antique cupboard (medicine chest) for our upstairs bathroom and was pleased with the price.

Bracebridge 2005 Antique Show & Sale will be held Fri Aug 12 (5-9 pm), Sat Aug 13 (10 am - 5 pm) and Sun Aug 14 (11 pm [that's what it says on the flyer!] - 4 pm) at the Agricultural Building, Fraserburg Road Fairgrounds in Bracebridge Ontario. Admission is $5.00 for the whole weekend.

We've been to this Antique store before, and loved it. This month we arrived on a Friday only to find it closed - open only on weekends. As we peered through the front window, the owner drove by and stopped to open for us. So we had the store to ourselves for over an hour.
