Antique Snuff Box from Scotland
A Scottish Snuff Box in my collection. The silver band around the top is engraved with "John Mackay Spirit Merchant Edinburgh 1820"
There is a shield but I cannot make out the engravings, and under that it is engraved "obt 29th May 1847"
Wow, love the black and silver elements in the design...very intricate work
