Antique Victorian Bookcase with glue from red tape still on glass.

We bought this gorgeous Victorian bookcase but the previous owner had taped the doors shut with red tape that was glued (yes glued!!!) to the glass and across the wood where the doors closed.

So after over six hours of scraping and an entire bottle of nailpolish remover later, we had it cleaned off.

Then hubs repaired a few spots, put the original drawer handles back on and cleaned it thoroughly inside and out.

The finished product is on the right. Hubs is putting his WW1 book collection in it.
